The Uruguayan player was a member of the Danubio team in his native Uruguay between 1995 and 2001. He emigrated to the European football with the Grasshoppers from Switzerland, where he played from 2001 to 2004. After this, he played for the Atletico de Madrid from 2004 until 2005. His debut in Mexican territory was with the Cruz Azul at the Opening Tournament from 2005 and he scored four goals against Tecos. For the Closing Tournament of 2006 he wore Pachuca’s T-shirt and was a champion with that team. After that, he went back to Cruz Azul from the Opening of 2006 to the Opening of 2007. His last team was the America, where he proved to be a disappointment during 2008’s Closing, since he only scored a goal. During six tournaments in Mexico he has manager to score 32 goals in 107 matches. The first transfer that was announced was that of Paulo Serafín, who arrived to La Franja’s team as a loan with the possibility of being bought through Monterrey. Serafín arrives to Puebla’s team in exchange of José Hiber Ruiz, who will now be playing for the Rayados de Monterrey. Serafín was born in Mexico City 33 years ago and began his football career in the biggest circuit at the Winter Tournament 2000 when he arrived to the Atlante coming from Puebla’s La Franja Second Division. His debut match in the First Division took place on Saturday August 12th 2000, in a game where his team lost against the Celaya by a small difference. With that team, which in that time belonged to Mexico City, he played until the Closing Tournament 2004, where he scored eight goals. It was after the Opening Tournament 2004 that he arrived to Monterrey’s team to wear the striped T-shirt. He played in this team until the very last tournament. During 2008’s Closing Tournament he played eight games as a forward player, three of them as captain, where he accumulated 478 minutes in action. Rafael Puente will also help strengthen La Franja’s team. He is the son of one of ESPN’s commentators. Puente, who didn’t see much action either during the last tournament, arrives at Puebla’s team temporarily. In addition, Puebla also acquired Manuel López Mondragón, whom they bought from the Veracruz. López did not play at all with his team during the last tournament. The midfielder made his debut in 2002, with Veracruz’s team, with whom he played 76 matches without success. At the last minute defense Álvaro Ortiz was also announced, who was bought from Toluca, on a temporary basis. Ortiz did not play during the last tournament and he will try to get his game back with Puebla’s team. He was born in Mexico City and has worn the T-shirt of teams León, Chivas, Necaxca, América, San Luis and Toluca. His debut took place in the Winter of 98 with León. In total, he has played 215 matches, scoring fourteen goals. Another interesting permanent acquisition was that of Fabiano Pereira, who was bought from Necaxa. The Brazilian player managed to score three goals with Aguascaliente’s team during the last tournament. This midfielder has defended the white and red T-shirt since 2004’s Opening Tournament; he played 98 matches and scored 23 goals. Along the same lines Omar Briceño arrives to Puebla’s team as a loan through the Tigres of Universidad Autónoma of Nuevo León. Another last minute acquisition was that of Eder Pacheco, coming from Morelia, who only played 44 minutes during the last two tournaments. One more player, Cesáreo Victorino also arrives to Puebla’s team. He comes as a loan from Veracruz. This midfielder made his debut with Pachuca’s team during the Summer tournament of 1997 and he defended its colors until the summer of 2001. Between Winter 2001 and Summer 2002 he played with the Cruz Azul. After that, he went back to Pachuca to play the following tournaments. He then returned to Cruz Azul from 2002’s Opening until that of 2004. He played the following tournament with Pachuca’s team. Later, he went to Pumas to face the Closing Tournament of 2006 as well as that of 2007; he played for the Veracruz until last tournament. In total, he has managed to score twenty goals. His most productive time was with Pachuca during 2001, where he scored eight goals. Lastly, Puebla’s La Franja validated the acquisition of Luis Enrique Muñoz, a player who had already been training with the team. Along the same lines, the arrival of Álvaro Fernández from Uruguay and Miguel Ostersen from Mexico was confirmed. Both players have trained with La Franja in the past. Regarding the players that are no longer in Puebla’s team, Hiber Ruiz’s transfer to the Monterrey has been confirmed as well as that of Jorge Zamogliny, Mario Ortiz and Melvin Brown’s to the Tecos of UAG. More hirings are expected to take place this Tuesday, through the First Division A, where the strongest players are goalkeeper Óscar Dautt and Juan Hernández Jr., who played with Lobos BUAP last tournament. Para este martes, se esperan más contrataciones, a través de la Primera División A, donde la carta más fuerte es la del cancerbero Óscar Dautt y la de Juan Hernández Jr, quien jugó con los Lobos de la BUAP, el torneo anterior.
